My "best" experience was on Sal, the most touristy island. Almost everything takes place on Walking Street, around the Buddy Bar and the shisha club across the street. In my opinion, as a European with a slightly above-average appearance, success on Sal is limited, as many white women are confirmed to visit Cape Verde as a sex tourism destination. In this regard, one could observe a great deal of international understanding in the evenings.
