Airbnb can be good for large places like Oslo or Bergen, otherwise its not very situable for smaller towns or villages. Several times I had a problem with washing machine, it was in add ,but when you arrived, there was not any washing machine in apartment. When I asked the owners ,normally they replied something like : oh ,it was still working last week ,but it was broken yesterday! Or I will buy new one soon ,I promise you. 

And often landlords live next door to you.
